Recruitment
|
The MeatHead clan is always open for people who
share the same philosophy and approach to gaming
as we do. We are a fairly relaxed bunch of
gamers who are more serious about the enjoyment
obtained from gaming in a clan of likeminded
individuals than we are about the skill levels
or ability of individual members at a particular
game. We do however expect all members to be
respectful of all other clan members (until you
get top know them that is...) regardless of
their commitment and skill level and to present
yourselves as professional, respectable players
when out and about in public wearing the clan tag.

How do I become a member ?
|
After reading through this page and
familiarising yourself with the other gems
contained in the website, you need to head over
to the MeatHead forums. Once you have
registered, create an introductory post in the
"Recruitment" forum, mentioning that you have
read this page, some info about yourself and why
you want to be a MeatHead.
When registering in the forum, please use the
gaming name that you are known by or want to
known by in the MeatHead community -
please do not use the [MH] clan tag as part of
your gaming name. |
|
How do I use the forums ?
|
The forums are fairly self explanatory to use, but if you get
lost there is a FAQ link at the top of the page which explains the basics of the
forum software that we use. Please read the
"Forum Rules &
Conduct" before posting your first message. You are encouraged to add your own
personalised signatures and avatars - however we ask that you do
not use large images or excessive animations. Both can become
irritating and make it difficult for other members to read your
posts. Do not use a graphic that may be offensive or has
disturbing content. If you are not sure it is better to ask an
administrator first - before they remove your post/avatar. |

What rules are there ?
|
The MeatHeads do not believe in cheating, exploiting or
otherwise circumventing the normal operation of the game to
obtain an unfair advantage. We also do not condone any behaviour
that is counter to the EULA or rules of the games we play. We
expect all MeatHeads to play by the rules at all times!. The
MeatHead code of conduct is based on common sense. The MeatHead
clan has worked hard to earn a good reputation in the gaming
communities we play in and wish to keep it that way. Abusing or
insulting other clan members or other gamers in the forum,
during a game, or when out in the internet while wearing the
clan tag is NOT acceptable behaviour and we will not tolerate
repeat offenders. If a team member stuffs up - keep your cool
and remember it's only a game. You may be able to laugh about
the incident afterwards but it is impossible to take back an
outburst that offends. Not everyone plays at the same skill
level and intensity - and they should not be expected to.
We play and compete in ladders for the fun of the game and do
not segregate ourselves based on ability or skill levels (Just
as well given that our first season results do not indicate the
amount of fun we had effort we put in...). If
this is not up to your personal requirements, then maybe the
MeatHead clan is not the place for you. We all swear
occasionally, and it does happen during matches when gamers are
frustrated by missing an objective. We just don't want this to
become the only way in which you communicate with others in the
game, or to dominate everyone's memory of the game. Try to be
extra careful to keep swearing and offensive statements to a
minimum when using voice communication software as you never
know who is using headphones or speakers - there might be kids
in the background at your team-mates house! |
