Setting up your Teamspeak client
|
The first thing you need is a good headset. We do not recomend using a microphone with speakers as this can
cause unwanted feedback, and might keep other family members awake at night!
Download and install the latest Teamspeak client software.

After installing, start Teamspeak select Sound Input/Output Settings from the Settings menu.
Set how loud you want hear everyone under Output Volume.
Check your Voice Send Method is set to Voice Activation. This is recommended as your fingers usually
have enough to do as it is in a game without having to fumble for the Transmit key. Please ensure that you adjust
your microphone so that it not too close to your nose as this can cause unwanted noise.
You can test your mic settings my click Activate local test mode. This will record your voice and then play
it back to you so you can ensure that your voice is being heard and everything is plugged in correctly.
Go to Settings>Options
For those with good computers select Direct Sound. This will be optimal if you have a cable/ISDN/xDSL connection
and more then 128 mb RAM. Leave the Default Buffer, and Input / output devices.
Select the Other tab and chose a Default guest nickname. Once in, register your nickname and password. (You might
have to ask an admin to help yopu with this).Leave all other settings at default.
